The kind of construction material that may be used varies based on the set of controls you are using.
Old School Controls = LB/L1
Quick Builder Controls = Left analog stick pushed in
Combat Pro Controls = LT/L2
Builder Pro Controls = Left D-Pad
To find out the controls you are using, go to the settings menu and choose the controller tab from the drop-down menu. Following that, the set of controls you are now using will be highlighted on the left hand side.
To change the construction materials, you may change the controller configuration to custom and assign a custom button to the material you like to change with.
If you didn’t already know, the various types of materials have varying degrees of strength. In descending order of strength from weakest (Wood) to strongest (Steel) (Metal). The fact that many of the top players would switch to metal while being shot at indicates that the opponent will have to work harder to get past the defences.
In contrast, when you’re constructing structures to climb up skyscrapers and up mountains, It is preferable to choose a weaker material and avoid wasting any metal or brick that you have already accumulated. A good reason why metal is much more difficult to come by than brick and wood is because it is far more expensive.
When to transfer positions is best determined by observing the more accomplished players. If you watch footage of Ninja, Tfue, and many other professional players, you will notice that they employ various types of construction materials in different scenarios. As a result, you will have a clear grasp of the materials and when they should be used.
To become proficient at anything, like with any other game, it is necessary to observe how others perform. Afterwards, you may use those tactics to your own gaming experience.
